David is an Educational Audiologist and a qualified teacher of the Deaf, with more than 20 years experience at all
levels of Education. He is a Teaching Fellow in the department of Language & Communication Science at City University,
London and his research and consultancy fields include classroom acoustics and auditory processing difficulties. His
publications and papers include studies on Hearing Impairment, Classroom Acoustics, Soundfield Amplification, Speech
and Teaching. He has been closely involved in the development of standards on Educational Acoustics and the Department for
Education and Skills’ Building Bulletin 93 “Acoustics in Schools”.
