Chris Sims BEng MEng MIEE
Chris Sims is an electronics engineer specialising in Broadcast Systems. He joined BBC Projects in 1990, working in outside broadcasts, regional and national studio design. He installed the first digital sound desks at BBC Television Centre. In 1994 he became an independent Broadcast Systems Engineer, introducing digital equipment at facilities such as Pinewood and De Lane Lea Studios. Having updated the film industry, he returned to broadcasting as digital video replaced analogue, and led a number of major upgrades from analogue to digital equipment, often on short timescales. Broadcast clients include BBC, London Weekend Television, Thames TV, Saudi TV and GMTV.
